Personal Care communities offer fun and freedom while making sure you have access to assistance with medication, dressing or bathing. Live in a private residence, and enjoy restaurant-style meals every day. All our communities provide social calendars packed with activities and events designed with you in mind. Moving to Personal Care does not mean losing independence. In fact, it can actually give you even more choices. With access to transportation services, you’ll have a ride to local services and shopping.
We cater to your specific needs, so you can focus on the things you really enjoy.
Deeply rooted in a person-centered approach, the Alzheimer’s & Dementia program focuses on sustaining feelings of belonging and purpose while seeking to preserve a sense of self. The Alzheimer’s & Dementia concept has evolved by continually embracing current research and innovations in the delivery of quality dementia care. Our teams have cared for thousands of individuals with dementia, as well as for their families.
The AD daily path offers a gentle routine coordinated with a minimum of six programs per day.
All are designed to maintain the resident’s abilities and to encourage the use of their current skills.
AD Dining Program
Developed by culinary associates, dementia care experts and dietitians, the AD Dining Program provides opportunities for the resident to enjoy the dining experience while sustaining remaining skills through:
AD Behavioral Problem-Solving Program
This established set of protocols and techniques enables associates to intervene when challenging behaviors resulting from dementia arise. The whole-community philosophy is the key that empowers all associates to identify the resident’s unmet needs and to be a part of a solution.
AD Bridge Training Program
Providing excellent dementia care is a complex task that requires ongoing guidance and teaching for AD associates. All associates receive initial and on-going training in proper techniques, approach and care of persons with dementia. All executive directors also attend Whit Raven AD Leadership Competency Training.
